Training: Storage tanks – complex training (4 days)


Course Outcome
  • Understanding of requirements for storage tanks design and construction.
  • General materials, fabrication, and examination/inspection requirements.
  • Defining of principles and methodologies for storage tanks inspection and maintenance - inspection intervals
  • Comprehensive knowledge and ability to integrity assessment of storage tanks (settlement, minimum thickness requirements, local thinning, bottom defects, roof defect, shell defects etc.)
  • Defining of suitable repair methods
  • Tank accessories - description of functions, maintenance and inspection procedures.
  • Participants will develop a basic understanding of the organization of standards EN 14015 (including draft from 2018), EN 1993-4-2, EEMUA 159, API Std 620, API Std 650, API Std 653, API RP 571, API RP 575, API RP 651 The training will take into account the specifics of tanks manufactured in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. And partly participants will be introduced to Czech law from are of storage tanks inspection.

This course is intended for engineers and inspectors who are involved in the inspection and evaluation of the technical condition of storage tanks. The course will also be very beneficial for managers who deal with risk assessment, structural reliability assessment, assessment of inspection, maintenance and repair plans. The seminar is also suitable for designers, engineers and other persons interested in area of storage tanks.
